I am a curious creator who seeks to shine a light on the stories that are overlooked. My work has been featured in several publications, including the front page of The New York Times in four occasions, POLITICO, USA TODAY, S&P Global, Texas Monthly, among others.
My curiosity for the outside world, artistic vision, and passion for the truth led me to earn two degrees from Boston University in the fields of Journalism and International Relations. I furthered my studies by obtaining a Master’s from Georgetown in Public Relations and Corporate Communications.
The focus of my Journalism degree is print and trauma, while my International Relations area of expertise is environmental sustainable development and Latin America.
While in college, I completed an internship at Senator Ed Markey’s Boston Office and the Mexican Consulate of Boston. Upon graduation, I completed an internship at National Journal and a fellowship at POLITICO. Then I moved on to a full-time role at USA TODAY as a Trending News reporter.
My career led me to be a Senior Price Reporter for S&P Global, covering Latin American refined products. My most recent career move has been as the Global Strategic Engagement Leader of Chemicals at S&P Global. My passion for journalism, international relations and public relations creates the perfect blend for me to succeed in the commodities market space.
My work includes photojournalism, photography, print journalism, and both expressive and creative writing. My passion for writing and artistic eye leads to an interesting genre of aesthetic but investigative journalism.
I was born and raised in Mexico City and moved to Houston, Texas, to spend my teenage years. Having the cultural cross between American and Mexican culture has led to a unique experience where I am quickly adaptable and love learning about those who are different from me.
